Blueberry Crisp


Everyone loves fruit crisps! Simple to make and irresistible to eat. Serve with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an absolutely delicious dessert.

6 cups blueberries
¼ cup sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
½ cup flour
½ cup quick cooking oats
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ cup butter, cubed

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and salt in a bowl. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
Cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork and mix until crumbly.  Place blueberries in 8 x 8 baking dish. Top evenly with the crumb mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
Serve with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
