Alexa Swan grew up in Glastonbury, CT where she currently resides. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Southern Connecticut State University in 2014. Since then, she has worked at Hartford Hospital in cardiology for over four years. She worked full time as a nurse and went back to graduate school at the University of Saint Joseph. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2018. She is board certified through the AANP as a family nurse practitioner. Alexa’s primary interests in medicine revolve around cardiology with focus on prevention and maintenance of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.

In her spare time, she enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle through fitness and nutrition. She also enjoys cooking, spending time her with family and watching sports.
