Starling Physicians, PC, is a large, private, physician-owned corporation providing comprehensive and specialty healthcare services to patients in the Central Connecticut area. We have a current opening for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist to join the nine physicians in our Cardiology group, which is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, a major 760-bed tertiary-care medical center, performing all aspects of clinical cardiology. Hartford Hospital is a Level-1 Trauma Center, with a major heart transplant and surgery program, a busy invasive lab doing TAVRs and all aspects of cardiology.

We are seeking a well-qualified non-invasive cardiologist who wants to practice state-of-the-art clinical cardiology in a growing, dynamic group. Candidates should be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and board certified/eligible in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography. Candidates should be able to read vascular studies and be RPVI certified or eligible.

Starling has a current opening for an endocrinologist to join our practice of over 250 providers. Candidate would join five endocrinologists and three nurse practitioners utilizing in-office ultrasound. We are the largest insulin pump and sensor practices in the area. Starling Physicians is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, a major teaching hospital. Teaching opportunities are available and part of our expectations with residents and endocrinology fellows through Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut. Requirements:

Order diagnostic tests, interpret the results, and order appropriate interventions, therapies, medications, and other treatment modalities, and establish preventive health practices for patients. Refer patients with serious ailments to specialist physicians. Collect, record, and maintain details of the patients’ medical histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, assessments, management plans, and treatment outcomes. Requirements:

Hospitalist – Nocturnists
Hospitalist Physicians provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting at Hartford Hospital. Starling Physicians has an exclusive contract to provide Hospitalist services at Hartford Hospital and is recruiting for night positions. Schedule is 7 days off/7 days on. Hours are 7 pm. to 7 am. Description:

Internal Medicine – Physician Openings
New Britain, Plainville, and Southington CT
We are hiring for the following locations:
- New Britain Campus: This is one of our main campuses and the IM Department has 10 board certified internists and one APRN
- Newington Office: This office has two board-certified internists and one APRN.
- Southington Office: This office has two board-certified internists.
- Plainville Office: This office has two board-certified internists.
- The candidate has the choice of a traditional practice (following their own patients in the Hospital of Central Connecticut) or the outpatient tract where there is no hospital or ER call. The inpatients in this case are covered by hospital-employed hospitalists during hospitalization and in the ER, if needed, they are seen by residents, PAs or hospitalists.
Call for each position is approximately one night every 2-3 weeks and approximately one weekend every three months. The call is divided among all of the Department’s primary care doctors (17). Requirements:
US Citizen or Green Card Resident; Board Certified or Board Eligible. Recent graduates or graduates in 2016 are preferred.
Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician – Full-time or Part-time

Advanced Practitioner Openings
Endocrinology APRN or Nurse Practitioner
We are looking for APRN/NP preferably experienced in diabetes and or inpatient care. Will work with a team of nurse practitioners and endocrinologist to provide diabetes consultative services to adult inpatients at Hartford Hospital. Inpatient care will focus on Diabetes Mellitus and Insulin Pumps & Continuous Glucose Monitoring. May include some outpatient. Flexible hours; could include weekends. Requirements:
Ideal candidate will be an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Certified Diabetes Educator a plus) but others are encouraged to apply. Candidates need to be confident, compassionate, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Mentoring from physicians and current APRN’S will be regular and expected. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Part Time

Primary responsibilities will be providing health care maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment of common childhood illnesses. This will include well-child exams, immunizations, developmental screenings, and counseling.
- The schedule is 1:00pm – 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays with flexibility to work extra hours when needed.
