Dermatology Physician

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a board certified or board eligible dermatologist to join our team of four dermatologists and two mid-level practitioners, who are affiliated with The University of Central Connecticut and The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Description:
  • You will practice a wide variety of general dermatology with an option of cosmetic dermatological procedures.
  • We serve a well-insured patient population and have a large built-in primary care referral base.
  • Our Dermatology Department currently has two offices. One based in New Britain and one based in Rocky Hill, with opportunity for other satellite offices with large built-in primary care referral base.
  • Our office provides photo-dynamic therapy, excimer laser treatment, and some cosmetic procedures.

Hospitalist Physicians

Hospitalist Physicians (multiple openings) to provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting at Hartford Hospital. Starling Physicians has an exclusive contract to provide Hospitalist services at Hartford Hospital and is recruiting for day and night positions. Schedule is 7 days off/7 days on, with Daytime shift of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Nocturnist shift 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Description:

Provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting to patients with diseases and injuries of the human internal organ system.  Order diagnostic tests, interpret the results, order appropriate interventions, therapies, medications and other treatment modalities, and establish preventive health practices for patients.  Collect, record, and maintain details of the patients’ histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, assessments, management plans and treatment outcomes.

Requirements:

MD or equivalent; completion of 3-year residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; licensure to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut. Accepting applications from H-1 and J-1 Candidates.
Additional information: Hartford Hospital is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Connecticut and this position with Starling Physicians offers the opportunity for resident teaching. We offer a clinical professorship title with potential for advancement.

Internal Medicine – Physician Openings

New Britain and Newington, CT

Openings for two physicians as follows:

  • New Britain Campus: This is one of our main campuses and the IM Department has 10 board certified internists and one APRN
  • Newington Office: This office has two BC internists and one APRN.
  • The candidate has the choice of a traditional practice (following their own patients in the Hospital of Central Connecticut) or the outpatient tract where there is no hospital or ER call. The inpatients in this case are covered by hospital-employed hospitalists during hospitalization and in the ER, if needed, they are seen by residents, PAs or hospitalists.
Description:

Call for each position is approximately one night every 2-3 weeks and approximately one weekend every three months. The call is divided among all of the Department’s primary care doctors (17).

Certified Nurse Midwife

Description:

Our progressive multispecialty group’s OB/GYN practice in Hartford, Connecticut is offering an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join us. We are looking for a 4th full-time midwife able to do 25% call.  Experience is preferred, but an exceptional new graduate would be considered.

Our highly respected group includes seven physicians and three full scope nurse midwives. We offer a full-scope collaborative OB/GYN environment providing complete gynecological and obstetrical care. Our strongly established practice provides 24/7 midwifery service in the greater Hartford area and is supported by full-time in- house back up coverage from our own physicians.

We encourage growth in individual areas of interest such as ultrasound, 1st assist, or colposcopy. Our practice offers a state of the art electronic health records system (Allscripts) to further promote quality care for our patients. We also provide our patients with three fully staffed offices to choose from. We are affiliated with Hartford Hospital which has a Level III NICU, neonatologists, and a perinatologist on staff.

Hospitalist Advanced Practitioners

Join our 32 physicians and eight APRN’s/PA’s in our Hospitalist Division at Hartford Hospital. Choose from the following schedules:

· Days: 144 hours in four weeks (avg. 36 hours/week); daily schedule varies to include a rotation of evening hours and one full weekend every four weeks.

· Nights: seven days on/seven days off; 12 hour shifts, 7 pm to 7 am. or an equivalent variation of this schedule (10% premium for night schedule)

Description:

Responsibilities include triaging patients for admission, performing history and physicals, primary coverage for established, floor-level patients, assessing patients with a change in clinical status, and more.

Requirements:

Current license and certification according to State Law is required. Experience in medical adult inpatient care is preferred but not required. Successful candidates will work in concert with our full-time Hospitalist physicians. Mentoring from our physicians and our other APRN’s and PA’s will be provided.
