Cardiology Physician

Hartford, CT

Starling Physicians, PC, is a large, private, physician-owned corporation providing comprehensive and specialty healthcare services to patients in the Central Connecticut area. We have a current opening for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist to join the nine physicians in our Cardiology group, which is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, a major 760-bed tertiary-care medical center, performing all aspects of clinical cardiology. Hartford Hospital is a Level-1 Trauma Center, with a major heart transplant and surgery program, a busy invasive lab doing TAVRs and all aspects of cardiology.

Requirements:

We are seeking a well-qualified non-invasive cardiologist who wants to practice state-of-the-art clinical cardiology in a growing, dynamic group. Candidates should be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and board certified/eligible in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography.  Candidates should be able to read vascular studies and be RPVI certified or eligible.

Cardiology Physician

New Britain, CT

Description:

Starling Physicians has a current opening in our Cardiology Department for a non-invasive cardiologist to start in July of 2018. Cardiologist would see patients in our Lake Street location in New Britain and would be affiliated with The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The candidate may do pacemaker placement and diagnostic catheterizations, if desired.

  • Starting salary is negotiable.
  • Night call is 1 night a week and 1 out of every 9 weekends.
  • Most call is handled over the phone.
  • House staff and mid levels are in hospital to handle routine care. If it is a myocardial infarction, an interventional cardiologist will be called.

Candidates should be board-certified or eligible in Cardiology.

Endocrinologist

Description:

Starling has a current opening for an endocrinologist to join our practice of over 250 providers. Candidate would join five endocrinologists and three nurse practitioners utilizing in-office ultrasound. We are the largest insulin pump and sensor practices in the area. Starling Physicians is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, a major teaching hospital.  Teaching opportunities are available and part of our expectations with residents and endocrinology fellows through Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut.

Hospitalist Physicians – Nocturnists

Hospitalist Physicians provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting at Hartford Hospital. Starling Physicians has an exclusive contract to provide Hospitalist services at Hartford Hospital and is recruiting for night positions. Schedule is 7 days off/7 days on. Hours are 7 pm. to 7 am.

Description:

Provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting to patients with diseases and injuries of the human internal organ system.  Order diagnostic tests, interpret the results, order appropriate interventions, therapies, medications and other treatment modalities, and establish preventive health practices for patients.  Collect, record, and maintain details of the patients’ histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, assessments, management plans and treatment outcomes.

Requirements:

MD or equivalent; completion of 3-year residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; licensure to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut. Accepting applications from H-1 and J-1 Candidates.
Additional information: Hartford Hospital is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Connecticut and this position with Starling Physicians offers the opportunity for resident teaching. We offer a clinical professorship title with potential for advancement.

Internal Medicine – Physician Openings

New Britain and Newington, CT

Openings for two physicians as follows:

  • New Britain Campus: This is one of our main campuses and the IM Department has 10 board certified internists and one APRN
  • Newington Office: This office has two BC internists and one APRN.
  • The candidate has the choice of a traditional practice (following their own patients in the Hospital of Central Connecticut) or the outpatient tract where there is no hospital or ER call. The inpatients in this case are covered by hospital-employed hospitalists during hospitalization and in the ER, if needed, they are seen by residents, PAs or hospitalists.
Description:

Call for each position is approximately one night every 2-3 weeks and approximately one weekend every three months. The call is divided among all of the Department’s primary care doctors (17).

Requirements:

We see patients in eight centrally located offices, and partner with the Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute, as well as the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Advanced Practitioner Openings

Certified Nurse Midwife

Description:

Our progressive multispecialty group’s OB/GYN practice in Hartford, Connecticut is offering an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join us. We are looking for a 4th full-time midwife able to do 25% call.  Experience is preferred, but an exceptional new graduate would be considered.

Our highly respected group includes seven physicians and three full scope nurse midwives. We offer a full-scope collaborative OB/GYN environment providing complete gynecological and obstetrical care. Our strongly established practice provides 24/7 midwifery service in the greater Hartford area and is supported by full-time in- house back up coverage from our own physicians.

We encourage growth in individual areas of interest such as ultrasound, 1st assist, or colposcopy. Our practice offers a state of the art electronic health records system (Allscripts) to further promote quality care for our patients. We also provide our patients with three fully staffed offices to choose from. We are affiliated with Hartford Hospital which has a Level III NICU, neonatologists, and a perinatologist on staff.
