Cardiology Physician

Hartford, CT

Starling Physicians, PC, is a large, private, physician-owned corporation providing comprehensive and specialty healthcare services to patients in the Central Connecticut area. We have a current opening for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist to join the nine physicians in our Cardiology group, which is affiliated with Hartford Hospital, a major 760-bed tertiary-care medical center, performing all aspects of clinical cardiology. Hartford Hospital is a Level-1 Trauma Center, with a major heart transplant and surgery program, a busy invasive lab doing TAVRs and all aspects of cardiology.

Requirements:

We are seeking a well-qualified non-invasive cardiologist who wants to practice state-of-the-art clinical cardiology in a growing, dynamic group. Candidates should be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and board certified/eligible in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography.  Candidates should be able to read vascular studies and be RPVI certified or eligible.

Starling Physicians has a current opening for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the 13 physicians in our Cardiology group including 2 interventionalists and 4 electrophysiologists that is affiliated with 2 major tertiary healthcare systems.

Starling has over 300 physicians and advanced practitioners in other specialties in addition to its Cardiology group. We are located approximately 100 miles to Boston and NYC and have over 30 locations. As a physician-owned corporation, full partnership is available following two years of successful practice with zero buy-in.

Primary Care Physicians (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)

Description:

Starling Physicians is seeking Internists and Family Medicine Physicians to join our group. Both IM and FM physicians are welcome to apply for any openings. The incoming candidate can expect a standard primary care or family medicine practice. Physicians typically work a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends, and shared call of 1:15 (including one weekend of call approximately every three months). The option for a four-day work week is available.

Enfield and Cromwell

The incoming candidate is anticipated to spend the majority of their time in the Enfield location with one or more days a week in Cromwell.  The Enfield office is a newly built office space, opened in October of 2018, featuring Internal Medicine, Hematology & Oncology, and OB/GYN. A large lab facility is located at this facility with additional construction under way to add Physiatry and other specialties in the future. Starling has designed the Enfield primary care office to maximize efficiency and intimacy for patients and their family. It utilizes a unique approach where patients wait in spaces just outside of their exam rooms.  The Cromwell site is a single specialty office space shared by internists and advanced practitioners providing primary care.

New Britain

The New Britain office is a large multi-specialty shared office space with Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Hematology & Oncology, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics with both labs and radiology on site.

This office houses two different pods of primary care providers and when fully staffed can support over 12 full time providers. The need for this location is primarily due to succession planning and recent departures due to retirement. The incoming candidate will step into an existing patient panel and will be able to ramp up quickly.

Orthopaedic Physician Assistant

New Britain, CT

Description:

Primary responsibilities will include performing clinical assessments of patients, documenting medical history, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, applying braces, casts and or splint and DME.  Position requires coordinating interdisciplinary medical care, acting as first assist in surgery at hospitals and surgery centers, providing pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and/or family members, and providing on call coverage. 

  • Office schedule is Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm. Or schedule will start earlier depending on location.
  • The on-call ratio is dependent upon how many ortho providers are in department, i.e. number of days in the month divided by number of providers. Monday-Friday call schedule is 5:00pm to 8:30am. Saturday and Sundays are 24 hours as the office is closed.
