Primary Care Providers Play a Key Role in Caring for Our Senior Population

January 13, 2022

Dear Valued Patient,

As you age, it’s important to have a primary care doctor, not just when you are ill, but also to make sure you stay healthy by being up to date with preventive screenings, vaccinations, and overall healthcare.

As part of our commitment to care for the central Connecticut senior population, we want to ensure that seniors can find a primary care provider, in a town near them, who can serve as a trusted partner.

We have recently added several outstanding primary care providers who welcome new patients.

You may have friends or family members who need a primary care provider and have not been able to find one or get an appointment. Or, you may know someone who has a provider who recently retired or is looking to make a change.

Please feel free to direct them to www.starlingphysicians.com/findpcp where they can see a list of providers welcoming new patients or request an appointment. Or, suggest they call (860) 721-5743 and our team can set up a visit with an available PCP.

And, don’t forget that all Medicare patients who are enrolled in one of the contracted Medicare Advantage plans are automatically enrolled and receive the benefits of our Starling Senior Care Advantage program provided they elect a Starling provider as their PCP!  This is a unique partnership with the Medicare Advantage plans from  Aetna, Anthem, Care Partners, ConnectiCare, Humana, United Healthcare, and Wellcare. Starling patients who enroll in one of these plans have access to the Starling Senior Care Advantage program, which offers them a strong focus on wellness services, plus additional resources to support care coordination and receive trusted advice for ways to improve their health.

Please feel free to help your Medicare-eligible friends and family who need better access to a primary care provider. In addition, please visit www.starlingseniorcareadvantage.com for more details.

Best Regards,

Your Starling Primary Care Team
