Common Questions about our Merger
Thank you for your patience as Grove Hill and CT Multispecialty joined as Starling Physicians. We would like to address some of the common questions we have received about the merger. If you have additional questions or feedback, we would like to hear from you at email@example.com
Why did Grove Hill & CT Multispecialty Group (CMG) merge?
Grove Hill and CMG have been the state’s leading multispecialty groups for decades. As healthcare evolves, we knew we needed to adapt. Joining as one allows us to offer our patients a wider number of specialties, programs, and healthcare choices, as well as added convenience. It will allow us to invest in new services and innovation, and provide you better value and a better healthcare experience.
Were Grove Hill and CMG taken over by a corporate entity?
No. Grove Hill and CMG were each 100% owned and governed by our physicians. As Starling Physicians, we maintain this unique model and continue to be entirely physician owned and led. This means that a hospital or corporation does not dictate our actions and we can deliver healthcare the way we believe it should be.
Now that you are Starling Physicians, will my care change?
Your patient care will remain uninterrupted. There will be minimal changes to office protocols or clinical procedures. You can continue to see your same providers, in the same locations. Appointments can be scheduled by calling your regular number(s).
What is it like to work for Starling Physicians?
Our workplace continues to be a nuturing and family environment. We operate in the same manner with a dedicated focus on building enduring relationships with our patients. Even though we have grown in size, we work in an integrated manner to ensure a coordinated experience.
Do all my providers at Starling Physicians use one
electronic health record?
In the near future, we will adopt Allscripts as our electronic health record technology for all patients. This will make sharing information between our providers even easier and ensure that regardless of the number of doctors you see, there will be only one chart, one focus…you.
Is there a new Starling Physicians patient portal?
Currently, former Grove Hill and CMG patients should access their existing patient portal. In the future, we will move patients to a single portal. This will be the best way to access your health records 24/7, view lab reports, and send communications to your providers. We will keep you updated about changes.
Are there benefits to seeing other providers within
Yes. One of the biggest benefits is that when you have a health issue, we can refer you to a specialist in one of our 25 specialties. Our physicians share the same dedication to building relationships based on trust, dialogue, and mutual respect. We will ensure that you are seen in a timely fashion and we will be able to communicate with one another about your care.
Have billing procedures changed?
Your invoices will be sent from Starling Physicians. We now offer the added convenience of paying your bill on our website. If you have payment questions, please contact Customer Service at (860) 258-3480, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Does Starling Physicians accept the same insurance?
We continue to accept the majority of insurance plans. Our insurance carriers are listed under the Manage Your Care tab on our website. Please check with your physician’s office to confirm that it
participates in your plan. Since insurance participation can change, we suggest you call your insurance company to verify participation if you do not see your plan on our website.
