Jennifer Lewis, MSN, AGNP-C, is a dedicated healthcare provider specializing in internal and geriatric medicine. Her journey in healthcare has taken her through various roles, providing her with a wealth of experience in patient care. From managing chronic conditions in a skilled nursing facility to inpatient hospital nursing and emergency medicine in a level 1 trauma center, Jennifer has developed a deep understanding of patient needs.

In her practice, Jennifer helps patients manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, renal insufficiency, and lung dysfunction. She believes in the importance of patient participation in their healthcare plan. Jennifer strives to help her patients understand their diagnosis and how the treatment plan and goals of care influence their quality of life.

Jennifer finds it crucial that her patients understand their plan of care and the importance of medication compliance. “If there is hesitation, I encourage patients to share concerns. I try to meet people where they are, and motivate them when they are ready,” she says. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing patients meet target blood pressure and blood sugar goals and hearing them report feeling better and in control of their health.

Away from her professional duties, Jennifer has a variety of interests. She enjoys yoga, gaming, reading, and is learning to swim. She also has a new goal to garden on her deck. Passionate about supporting nursing students, Jennifer aims to be the preceptor and support she had while attending school.
