Christine Daniels, MS, APRN, AGNP-C, is a member of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care team. She has always been driven by her passion for helping others, particularly in identifying factors that impact health and working with patients to achieve their health goals. She is a graduate from the University of Connecticut with a master’s in nursing.

With over 14 years of nephrology nursing experience, Ms. Daniels has primarily worked with patients who have end stage kidney disease. She has served in various care settings, including outpatient hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home hemodialysis, and chronic kidney disease education. She also worked in the hospital setting performing acute hemodialysis, CKRT, and apheresis. “I believe in a patient-centered and holistic approach to care. Every patient is unique, and treatment should be tailored to the patient by actively listening, respecting their values, and including them in the decision-making process,” she says.

During a patient visit, Ms. Daniels believes that the most important aspect is listening to what the patient is concerned about. “I want to make sure I have an understanding of what their main health concern is so we can have a plan in place to address it,” she says. She finds joy in seeing patient lives improve when they can achieve their health goals.

When she’s not at work, Ms. Daniels loves spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys gardening, running, and playing chess. She feels passionate about educating patients on how to prevent or slow the progression of kidney disease, as diabetes and hypertension, two common health conditions in the U.S., are the leading causes of chronic kidney disease.
