  • Biography

    Dr. Kapur completed her medical school training and residency in OB/GYN in New Delhi, India at a top-ranked national university. After spending several years practicing in India, she came to the United States where she completed an Internal Medicine residency at Overlook Hospital, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kapur then worked as a hospitalist before completing her Hematology & Oncology fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey.

    Dr. Kapur has been actively engaged in oncology research efforts throughout her career, including Memorial Sloan-Kettering and the Atlantic Melanoma Center. She has published numerous articles in hematology and oncology and has presented her research internationally.

    Given her background in OB/GYN, Dr. Kapur specializes in women’s health and hematological conditions, including those in pregnant women. Dr. Kapur has had the opportunity to closely work with patients suffering from sickle cell disease. She also specializes in treating solid tumors, with a special interest in GI malignancies.

    She is pleased to join Starling’s Hematology and Oncology Department and accepts patients in Wethersfield, New Britain, and Avon.
