Biography
Dr. Gilbert Ching attended the University of the Philippines for undergraduate and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, graduating cum laude prior to earning his medical degree at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. Dr. Ching completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut. He then completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut – Hartford Hospital Program where he trained with nationally renowned leaders in cardiology.
Dr. Ching is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Ching has worked on a number of research projects, and his publications include “The Role of Radionuclide Imaging in Heart Failure,” “Clinical Outcomes After Neurogenic Stress Induced Cardiomyopathy in Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage,” and “The role of proton pump inhibitors among post percutaneous coronary intervention patients on clopidogrel.”
He is fluent in English and Tagalog.
