Here is some advice to get the new year off to a good start…

Find a trusted primary care provider (PCP)

PCPs are vital to your health. They provide annual visits, treat illness, manage chronic health conditions, conduct screenings, identify risk factors, and promote healthy lifestyle.

Get Vaccinated!

If you have not gotten the COVID vaccine, don’t wait any longer. Those who are not vaccinated are 20 times more likely to suffer a COVID-19-associated death and 13 times more likely to test positive than people who were fully vaccinated. Make sure to get your booster, too!

Schedule routine eye care visits

If you don’t have any symptoms or vision problems, doctors recommend getting regular eye exams based on your age; Ages 20 to 39: Every 5 years. Ages 40 to 54: Every 2 to 4 years. Ages 55 to 64: Every 1 to 3 years. If you are diabetic, you should see your eye doctor annually.

Starling has an exceptional eye care team with some of the leading specialists in the areas of retina and cornea disorders, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Call (860) 826-4460 and schedule a visit today.
