Syrma Middlebrook, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of experience caring for patients of all ages. She believes in providing compassionate, accessible, and patient-centered care, and enjoys being able to help people on their path to better health. Syrma values building trusting relationships with her patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health through education, open communication, and shared decision-making.

Syrma earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with honors from the University of Saint Joseph. Throughout her career, Syrma has combined direct patient care with clinical leadership, education, and mentorship. Her clinical background includes primary care, acute episodic care, preventive medicine, school-based health, and telemedicine.

When not working, Syrma enjoys being outdoors and sightseeing with her family. She can also be found visiting farmers’ markets, exercising, and reading.
