Roxana Mir, MD, MPH, chose a career in health care to dedicate her life to supporting people through some of the most important, vulnerable, and transformative moments in their lives. As an OB/GYN, she is in a unique position to advocate for reproductive justice, promote equity in health care, and empower patients to make informed choices about their bodies and their futures.

Dr. Mir specializes in comprehensive reproductive health, ranging from routine gynecologic care and family planning to obstetrics and surgical gynecology. Her patients span all life stages, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. Her approach to patient care is grounded in listening first, providing evidence-based information, and partnering with patients in shared decision-making. She believes every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and autonomy.

“The most important thing is that my patient feels heard, respected, and empowered. Whether it’s a routine visit or a complex diagnosis, I want them to leave with clarity, confidence, and the reassurance that they are supported,” Dr. Mir shares. She loves the diversity of her work: delivering babies, performing surgery, providing preventive care, and building long-term relationships with patients.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mir enjoys reading and traveling. Spending time outdoors—especially hiking —helps her recharge and reconnect. She is especially passionate about minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. These approaches—such as laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic procedures—allow for smaller incisions, less pain, faster recovery, and a quicker return to normal activities.
