  • Biography

    Dr. Rebecca Kent graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. She attended medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and did her internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She went on to complete fellowships in Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

    From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Kent served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Kidney and Pancreas Transplant at the Recanati Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Since 2018, she has worked as a staff physician with the Renal and Renal Transplant department at James J. Peters VA Medical Center in New York. Her responsibilities included care of dialysis patients in one of the largest VA dialysis centers, management of chronic kidney disease patients, and involvement in Telehealth medicine. She also was involved in expanding a young renal transplant program, one of only 7 VA renal transplant centers in the country. She has published numerous journal articles related to renal care and transplantation. 

    At Starling, Dr. Kent provides transplant nephrology care in a hospital setting.
