 Dr. Schwartz was inspired to pursue a career in medicine at a young age after volunteering in the emergency department and trauma unit of a local hospital. That early experience shaped her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. 

With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Schwartz has held several leadership roles, including Director of a Medical Intensive Care Unit, and has practiced extensively in pulmonary and critical care medicine, most recently at Windham Hospital.  

Dr. Schwartz treats a wide range of pulmonary conditions including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung nodules, and sleep apnea. She also evaluates patients with chronic cough and shortness of breath and has a strong focus on preventative care, including lung cancer screening and smoking cessation. 

Her approach to care emphasizes compassion, clear communication, and building strong relationships with patients and their families. She is also passionate about education and mentorship and enjoys teaching students and sharing her knowledge. 

In her free time, Dr. Schwartz enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the beach, playing tennis, boating, and painting landscapes.
