Biography
Ian Schein, MD, MS, is a dedicated professional in the field of Internal Medicine. His journey in healthcare began early, influenced by his mother’s work as a physical therapist for children with disabilities.
Dr. Schein’s expertise lies in the areas of cardiology, including lipids, hypertension, and ischemic heart disease. He is also involved in diabetic care. In recent years, he has expanded his knowledge to include addiction medicine treatments and is currently learning more about dementia.
Dr. Schein believes in listening first to his patients. His approach to patient care involves focusing on the healthcare matter at hand, having an educational discussion, exploring treatment options, and always showing compassion and care. He says, “Quality time with my patients is what’s most important to me during a visit. I enjoy providing fruitful answers and solutions that solve immediate issues.”
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Schein enjoys playing and watching tennis and sharing his love for New York Yankee baseball with his children. He also enjoys traveling with his wife and listening to music. He is passionate about eradicating hate and antisemitism, demonstrating that his care for others extends far beyond his medical practice.
