Hythem Bishtawi, DO, will become a member of the Family Medicine team starting September 14, 2026. He is a Connecticut native and is committed to building lasting relationships with his patients while emphasizing preventive care, wellness, and the management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Bishtawi enjoys partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals and improve their overall well-being.

Dr. Bishtawi provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals and families of all ages. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

During his residency, Dr. Bishtawi cared for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. His training included the full spectrum of family medicine, including pediatric, adult, women’s health, and geriatric care, as well as experience in emergency medicine, critical care, and hospital medicine. Dr. Bishtawi utilizes osteopathic manipulative treatment to treat patients, and he is committed to helping patients manage both acute and chronic conditions through individualized, evidence-based care.

In his free time, Dr. Bishtawi enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi novels and playing video games. He also likes to spend time with his nephew and nieces and to explore new cafes and bookstores with his wife.
