Dr. Abdel Salam received her medical training in Egypt. She did several rotations at Case Western Reserve in Ohio, and completed a medicine and pediatric residency at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland. She has done research on a wide variety of topics in pediatrics and internal medicine and has a special interest in preventive health including the importance of weight management, and screenings for colon cancer and vitamin deficiencies.

Dr. Abdel Salam has recently relocated from Ohio and looks forward to experiencing all the Connecticut has to offer. She is fluent in Arabic.
