Godfred Oppong is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiology. He has a strong clinical foundation in emergency and cardiovascular care, developed through his experience as a registered nurse in a Level I trauma center and through advanced clinical training in heart failure management. 

He provides care for adults with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and other cardiometabolic disorders. His clinical interests include cardiovascular risk assessment, early identification of disease, and optimization of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) to improve outcomes for patients with heart failure and complex cardiac conditions. 

During his graduate training, he completed clinical rotations in primary care, urgent care, college health, and cardiology, including a heart failure rotation with Yale New Haven Health. This experience strengthened his interest in cardiovascular medicine and reinforced the importance of proactive management in preventing serious cardiac events. 

Godfred approaches patient care with a focus on anticipation rather than reaction—identifying risk early, optimizing treatment strategies, and partnering with patients to prevent future complications. He believes effective care begins with clinical clarity, open communication, and building trust, so patients feel informed and empowered in managing their health. 

Outside of work, he is an avid soccer fan, enjoys reading, and values spending time with family and friends.
