Dr. April Mott is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience caring for adult patients across a wide range of clinical settings, including private practice, academic medicine, home-based care, and skilled nursing facilities.

She provides comprehensive adult medical care and values the complexity and diversity of conditions seen in internal medicine. Her approach emphasizes understanding the many factors that influence a patient’s health rather than viewing conditions as isolated disorders.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Mott served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she taught medical students and residents while maintaining an active clinical practice. She also directed the Connecticut Chemosensory Clinical Research Center’s Taste and Smell Clinic, leading NIH-funded research and publishing numerous scientific articles and book chapters.

Dr. Mott believes patient care begins with listening and understanding a patient’s concerns. She prioritizes clear communication, thorough evaluation, and patient-centered education, so individuals feel confident partnering in decisions about their health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mott enjoys singing with her church choir, a passion she has maintained for more than three decades. She also enjoys knitting and is an advocate for animal rights.
