Anthony D. Ciardella, MD, is a member of the Internal Medicine team. He was a practicing Pharmacist for four years and enjoyed clinical challenges, so he decided to go to medical school. Dr. Ciardella focuses on primary care internal medicine and clinical teaching. He treats adults for preventative and acute medical care and teaches clinical outpatient medicine to medical students from 1st through 4th year.

Dr. Ciardella is passionate about providing patient-centered, high-quality care to each of his patients. He believes that patients should be allowed to spend the time needed from both the point of view of prevention and also diagnosis and plan of care.

“It is important to me that when a patient leaves a visit with me, they feel their questions are answered and an agreeable approach to their plan of care has been reached in a holistic manner,” Dr. Ciardella says. “I enjoy establishing a therapeutic relationship with patients and getting to know them and learning what is important to them and their interactions with others.”

Outside of work, Dr. Ciardella enjoys exercising, playing the piano, and target shooting. He is especially passionate about Disaster Medicine, having had experience in Mexico and Haiti, plus an advisory capacity in Ukraine.
