  • Biography

Rebecca earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She completed her advanced practice degree in 2001.

During her twenty years of practice, she has consistently looked for ways to expand the health care resources of her community especially to the uninsured population. A few examples of this include development and implementation of a Hepatitis C clinic, a Case Management program for high risk patients, as well as an HIV and STD clinic. She believes that educating her patients is the key to empowering them to take charge of their health. In her previous employments she did this through creating educational programs, as well as support groups.  She also believes in giving back to a profession that is so dear to her heart.  This is been shown through her desire to serve as a preceptor to numerous nurse practitioner students as well as her time in academia when she served as an Assistant professor at Moravian College.

She is a current member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society. She lives in Avon, CT with her husband and four children.  Her interests include spending time with family and sewing. She also loves cake decorating.

Initially, Rebecca will support Dr. Patel in our Internal Medicine practice in New Britain. She will then transition to our Endocrinology practice and will see patients in New Britain and Wethersfield.
