Dr. Paul Dekker is a hematologist on the Hartford Hospital medical staff. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed a residency in medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also completed a fellowship in hematology at Albany Medical College.

He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut Medical School and works with Department of Medicine residents at Hartford Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians.

He enjoys spending time with his grandsons, fishing, and photography.
