  • Biography

    Dr. Michael LeGeyt grew up in Connecticut and received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Boston University. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut, completed a general surgery internship at Waterbury Hospital, and did his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Seton Hall University. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery at Brown University, as well as a fellowship in sports medicine at Seton Hall. He is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and has a Certificate in Added Qualification in Hand Surgery.

    Dr. LeGeyt began practicing orthopaedics in 1999 and established Connecticut Hand Specialists two years later. After several successful years, in 2015 he joined Starling Physicians, formerly Grove Hill Medical Centers, for the enhanced ability to provide the full spectrum of patient care

    Dr. LeGeyt’s practice provides a full spectrum of hand surgery services that includes both non-operative and operative procedures, along with rehabilitation of the hand and wrist. His mission is to provide premium hand care to his patients. From the initial office visit and throughout the patient experience, he is committed to providing individuals with the highest level of care and respect. He regularly solicits patient feedback to continually improve the level of care he provides.

    In addition to his clinical and surgical duties, Dr. LeGeyt enjoy spending time with his wife and five children, as well as taking an occasional fishing trip.
