Lorrie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College where she majored in psychology. Subsequently, she worked as an academic and community development grants administrator. In 2009, she was awarded a Master of Social Work from Springfield College. While pursuing her master’s degree, Lorrie earned several high honors and fellowships. She also wrote “Group Trauma Intervention for Children,” which was published in The Journal of Advanced Generalist Social Work Practice.
After graduation, Lorrie further developed the depth of her clinical knowledge by working, for several years, as a community crisis clinician. While a crisis clinician and subsequently, she has worked in several medical systems to include Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Baystate Franklin Hospital, Providence Hospital, Wing Memorial Hospital, Eastern Connecticut Health Network, Institute of Living and, most recently, Hartford Hospital. She has experience with psychiatric assessment, outpatient counseling, substance abuse treatment and working with individuals who have complex medical challenges.
Lorrie is pleased to join Starling Physicians and see patients in Enfield. Her goal is to help clients deal with issues involving mental and emotional health in order to improve the quality of their lives and their well-being.
