  • Biography

    Dr. Jeffrey W. Langsam is a graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Following this, he completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. He joined Grove Hill Medical Centers in 2010.

    Dr. Langsam is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. He is an active member of the medical staff – Department of Medicine, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Dr. Langsam holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the Starling Physicians Laboratory. Lastly, Dr. Langsam is a Diplomat with the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.

    Dr. Langsam is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He participates in the extensive clinical trial network offered through the George Bray Cancer Center at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. He is also actively teaching for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Langsam has lectured to the hospital medical staff through Grand Rounds, taught board review courses for the house staff, and published peer-reviewed literature with medical residents.

    When not teaching or caring for patients afflicted with malignancies or diseases of the blood, he pursues numerous hobbies including skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
