Indira completed her undergraduate study at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. There she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued her education at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where she obtained a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and completed research exploring cardiometabolic complications in patients with dementia.
After working as a Research Associate at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, she pursued a Master of Clinical Medical Science and a Physician Assistant Certificate at Barry University in Miami, FL. There she completed a thesis reviewing the literature on Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.
Indira has served on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Academy of Physician Assistants. She was also an active member in the Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, serving as part of the Cardiovascular Team Education Committee. She is currently an affiliate member of the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants.
Her interests in cardiology include invasive cardiovascular angiography and intervention, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and the prevention of heart disease.
Indira is happy to be back in Connecticut where she was raised and looks forward to working with patients and their families. In her free time, Indira enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and baking.
