Biography
Dr. David M. Casey is originally from Boston, MA, and spent his formative years in Framingham, MA. After graduating from McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Casey went on to medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH and served as Chief Resident. While at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Casey co-authored The Cleveland Clinic Internal Medicine Case Reviews textbook, and served as associate editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine. He completed a cardiology fellowship at UConn – Hartford Hospital.
Dr. Casey has subsequently been employed as a clinical cardiologist since 2006. He has been awarded three teacher of the year awards based on his involvement with the UCONN medicine residency and the cardiology fellowship program. Dr. Casey’s clinical interests include non-invasive imaging, stress testing, congestive heart failure, ischemic coronary disease, and arrhythmias. He has a special interest in treating patients with POTS and microvascular disease. Dr. Casey is semi-fluent in Spanish. Outside interests include music, travel, dogs, and stand-up comedy.
