Honorees announced for 2017 Greater Hartford Walk to Cure Arthritis: Rheumatologist Dr. Helena Nolasco named as a medical nominee

Helena C. Nolasco, MD - Rheumatologist, Starling Physicians

Dr. Helena Nolasco is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. She opened her private practice at the Hartford County in 2004. An alumnus of the Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, Dr. Nolasco served as a mentor for children with chronic illnesses in “Medical Buddies Just For Kids,” a medical student organization from 1992-1994. She has provided care in rheumatology at the Fair Haven Clinic, an inner-city medical clinic in New Haven, CT and has fundraised for the Arthritis Foundation.

As a valued member of Starling Physicians, Dr. Nolasco provides rheumatology care in Enfield, Glastonbury, Farmington, and Wethersfield.

Dr. Nolasco received the Arthritis Foundation Physician Scientist Development Award in 2002 and is a recipient of Connecticut Magazine Top Doc for the years 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Dr. Nolasco is Bilingual in Portuguese and English, fluent in Spanish, and proficient in French. She is an accomplished pianist and soloist. She is a soprano at the Yale Glee Club and Yale Alumni Chorus and at the Hartford Chorale. She enjoys painting, drawing, hiking, and running.
